This painting was inspired by the work of Giuseppe Archimboldo, a renaissance painter who departed from the norm of religious paintings doing portraits using everyday objects such as sewing or household tools, flowers, or fish. This was such a delight to paint as I am a Pisces and could release my creativity and love of water.
